This 36 page book provides instructions for making 14 different "mood" lamps.

Each lamp has two components, a lens and a base.  Most of the lamps are made by using white opal fusible glass as the foundation layer, because of its excellent light transmission properties.  The top layer utilises either opal or transparent fusible glasses, which are fused to the foundation glass.

The lamp bases consist of two or three layers of glass designed to form a strong grooved structue that the lens can be adhered to. Once fused, a hole is drilled into the base to allow the fitting of the electrical wirirng.  The feet (Gill uses marbles with a flat area ground onto them) are then adhered to the underside of the base.
