Helga Watkins-Baker is a practising glass artist, who undertook postgraduate studies in kiln techniques for glass. In 2000, she co-founded the Liquid Glass Centre in Wiltshire, England, where she continues to teach. Watkins-Baker gives a detailed analysis of the various techniques involved in kiln-forming, working progressively through methods such as fusing, slumping, basic kiln casting, to comprehensive sections on lost wax casting, master mould making and pâte de verre.
