This single mould forms two bloom sizes: a large and a medium dogwood. If you need a small dogwood, one can be found in the Colour de Verre Small Mixed Flowers #2 mould.
The finished pieces can be fused to plates and platters, made into drawer pulls, or jewellery.
The fill weights are 50 and 38 grams respectively. The dimensions of the dogwoods are approximately 6.9 cm and 5.7 cm respectively.
For best effect, Colour de Verre recommends the use of frit, at least 50% of which should be clear (otherwise the castings will be very dark).
IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT FOR BEST EFFECT, COLOUR DE VERRE SPECIFICALLY RECOMMENDS THE USE OF HOTLINE PRIMO PRIMER (OR MR-97, WHICH IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN AUSTRALIA).
Give the mould 3-4 thin, even coats of Primo Primer kiln wash, using a soft artist's brush to apply the Primer (Colour de Verre recommends that you do NOT use a haik brush, as this will not pick up the necessary fine detail). Use a hair dryer to completely dry each coat before applying the next.
