This single mould produces trilliums in two sizes: a large and a medium bloom. If you need a small trillium, one can be found in the Colour de Verre Small Mixed Flowers #2 mould. You can also use the mould to create poinsettias as well.
The finished pieces can be fused to plates and platters, made into drawer pulls, or jewellery.
The fill weights are 70 and 50 grams respectively. The dimensions of the trilliums are approximately 9.5 cm and 6.8 cm respectively.
For best effect, Colour de Verre recommends the use of frit, at least 50% of which should be clear (otherwise the castings will be very dark).
IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT FOR BEST EFFECT, COLOUR DE VERRE SPECIFICALLY RECOMMENDS THE USE OF HOTLINE PRIMO PRIMER (OR MR-97, WHICH IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN AUSTRALIA).
Give the mould 3-4 thin, even coats of Primo Primer kiln wash, using a soft artist's brush to apply the Primer (Colour de Verre recommends that you do NOT use a haik brush, as this will not pick up the necessary fine detail). Use a hair dryer to completely dry each coat before applying the next.
