This small mould (which measures 5-1/2" x 2-7/8") produces two focal pieces - an open heart and circle - that are designed to be used with the Oval and Diamond Glasslinks chains.
Fill the heart with 7 grams of fine or powdered frit, or fill the circle with 8 grams of frit.
Fire these cool to only about 1335-1350˚F (725-730ºC). Hold for 25 to 30 minutes and then anneal.
IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT FOR BEST EFFECT, COLOUR DE VERRE SPECIFICALLY RECOMMENDS THE USE OF HOTLINE PRIMO PRIMER (OR MR-97, WHICH IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN AUSTRALIA).
Give the mould 3-4 thin, even coats of Primo Primer kiln wash, using a soft artist's brush to apply the Primer (Colour de Verre recommends that you do NOT use a haik brush, as this will not pick up the necessary fine detail). Use a hair dryer to completely dry each coat before applying the next.
