Type K Thermocouples are the most suitable type for kilns working at warm glass temperatures - fusing, slumping, casting etc.
These units have an exposed junction, are made from 8 gauge thermocouple wire inside 12.2 mm diameter ceramic beads. They have an overall length of 150 mm and an effective working length of 140 mm when fitted to the optional mounting plate.
